Welcome to KawaAda.com!
Please excuse the appearance, as we are still waiting for Kawa to make up his mind about this site...
If you know him personally, then you know it will take him another year just to figure out how his name should look...
If you do not know him, leave. Leave now before it is too late.
But if you are utterly bored or you are remotely curious about this Afghan-Canadian actor who calls himself the Canny Afghani, then look below for more information. But this is your final warning. Few have gone before you. And even fewer have returned.
Kawa Ada is an actor. He also likes to think of himself as a writer, speaker and teacher because he can be awfully pretentious at times.
As an actor, you can see him this year at the Shaw Festival of Canada, returning for his second season with the company to peform in Wonderful Town and After the Dance. He holds a BFA from the Boston Conservatory. He has performed on stages in both the US and Canada. For more info about his upcoming season at the Shaw, please visit www.ShawFest.com.
You can also catch Kawa (on February 16, 2008) in a fundraiser he is producing in Toronto to benefit children in Afghanistan:

As a writer, Kawa adapted the greek classic, Medea for the Silverthourne Theatre at the Northfield Mount Hermon School. His play, Media/Medea premiered there in 2003. He also wrote his one-man play, The Canny Afghani, based on his family's escape from war in Afghanistan. The show opened at the Boston Center for the Arts in 2004. Since then, he has written a slew of ten-minute plays and random ideas on scrap paper. In January, he undertook a writing retreat in Costa Rica to work on his first full-length play, which takes place during the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan.
As a speaker, Kawa gives presentations on Diversity, Inclusion, Leadership and Motivation at post-secondary institutions and cultural centres. His most recent speaking engagements include Ryerson University, The Shaw Festival, and the United Nations University for Peace. As a teacher, Kawa works in high schools as a drama/dance coach. Schools include Wexford Collegiate School for The Arts, York Mills Collegiate and Pearson Collegiate.
